Grinders

Burr grinders for home coffee, hand-crank and electric. The grinder sets the ceiling on everything downstream: an even grind decides sweet or muddy before technique gets a vote, which is why our standing advice is to upgrade the grinder before the machine.

Start from what you brew. Espresso needs fine adjustment in small steps; pour-over rewards uniformity at medium settings. A hand grinder buys more burr per dollar and asks a minute of cranking for it. An electric buys speed and repeatability. Replacement burrs live here too.
