This processing center is the product of a collaboration between two fantastic producers, Nestor Lasso & Jhoan Vergara. Developed as a way to disseminate advanced agronomical and post harvest processing knowledge throughout their home regions, Peñas Blancas provides a vital resource to small producers in Acevedo and Pitalito, Huila. Producers who deliver cherry to Peñas Blancas receive fair and transparent compensation for their coffee as well as assurance that their production will be processed in a state of the art facility, maximizing the quality and thus value of their lots.
