Greater Goods traveled to the Kii washing station in January to pick this lot. Kii is one of three stations run by the Rung'eto Farmers Cooperative Society in Kirinyaga, named for the river nearby. Fully washed: dense ripe cherries are sorted, pulped, fermented overnight, washed, graded and dried 8 to 14 days on raised beds.

Less of the tomato-like acidity people expect from Kenya. More stone fruit, more sweetness, a thicker body. Golden raisin and brown sugar show up as it cools.
