Blackberry, cocoa, and bubblegum, which sounds strange until you taste a good natural from the Papua New Guinea highlands. A single-estate microlot from Korgua Estate in Chimbu province, roasted light.
Coffee in Chuave district grows on mountainsides above 1,600 meters steep enough that harvest is a physical challenge; Sirigine Coffee Producers, founded by a smallholder farmer, has been collecting award-winning lots from these garden plots for years. Arusha, Blue Mountain, Bourbon, and Typica, dried in the fruit. A fruit-forward filter coffee, not a milk coffee.
