Chocolate cake, caramel, and a tobacco finish. Night Owl is the darkest roast Quills has done, a washed blend of Honduras and Colombia from smallholder farms between 1,200 and 2,100 meters.

Quills is a light-and-medium roaster by habit, so this is a dark roast made by people who were careful not to let it go bitter: rich rather than burnt, with the sweetness intact. For French press, drip, and anyone who orders the darkest thing on the menu.
