Golden apple, dried fig, caramel.

A washed Catuai from Finca Rosita, a 32 hectare family farm on the eastern slopes of the Andes in Caranavi, Bolivia. The Valverde-Aramayo family named it for their matriarch, Rosa Angelica Aramayo, and plants it in single-variety plots.

Bolivia is landlocked and hard to export from, so it stays quiet on the coffee map. This lot is a good argument for paying attention. Crisp, clean and balanced, with apple and fig over caramel.
