A dosing ring for 54 mm three-ear portafilters, the size on many popular home machines. It twist-locks onto the portafilter body rather than sitting loose on the basket, so it stays put through grinding and stirring and lifts off cleanly before the tamp.

The raised, wide-mouth profile leaves room for a WDT tool inside the ring. Machined from a single block of aluminum, in black, silver, or a 304 stainless version. Check that your portafilter is 54 mm with three ears; it does not fit 51 or 58 mm.
