Aunt Viv Candle
Cardamom, cream. A hand-poured candle inspired by the house drink at Portrait's Atlanta cafe. Warm and soft, with the spice sitting just under the sweetness.
This is the one for the 5:30 a.m. quiet, or for the end of the day when you want the room to feel like a cafe that has just closed. If you prefer citrus and something brighter, Rocket Love is the other scent.
Two things that make any candle better: trim the wick to a quarter inch before each burn, and let the first burn go at least three hours so the wax melts evenly to the edges. Skip that and you get a tunnel.
