How this shop operates, in plain terms.
Who makes what you buy
Equipment comes from the brands specialty coffee actually runs on: Fellow, Comandante, KINTO, Hario, Timemore. Ceramics come from independent studios, and the maker's name is on every product page. Coffee lists the roaster, and single origins list producer, varietal, and process.
Who ships it
We don't warehouse. Orders ship from the brand's own fulfillment or straight from the studio that made the piece. Made-to-order ceramics state the lead time in days on the product page, before you buy.
What we earn
We buy at wholesale and sell at the maker's set retail price; the difference is our margin. We don't discount studio work. The maker sets the price, and that's the price.
Why the shelf is short
When two tools do the same job, we test both and keep one. Everything stocked here runs on our own bar first, and when something stops holding up, it comes off and the Journal says why.
